01 License Identity & Issuing Authority

Our principal investigator holds the following license, issued by the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (Virginia DCJS), the state agency responsible for regulating private security and investigative services in the Commonwealth of Virginia:

02 Scope of Licensure

The Virginia DCJS Private Investigator registration authorizes 3SA to accept investigative casework from clients domiciled in Virginia, and to perform open-source intelligence (OSINT) research and information-services work on behalf of clients nationwide.

What our Virginia DCJS registration permits

• Case intake from Virginia-domiciled clients: A Virginia-licensed private investigator is permitted under Virginia regulation to contract with Virginia residents and Virginia-domiciled businesses for investigative, consulting, and information-services work.
• Remote OSINT-based research across all 50 states: Our actual service delivery is performed remotely from a Virginia base of operations using open-source intelligence, public records, and lawful third-party commercial databases. Because the work is performed in Virginia under Virginia licensure, we can deliver research products for clients in any U.S. state without claiming out-of-state licensure.
• Federal and interstate coordination: Out-of-state field work that requires physical presence in another state (court appearances, on-site interviews, surveillance) is not part of our service offering. Referrals are coordinated with appropriately licensed professionals when client matters require them.

The footer of every public page carries the line: "Information services available in all 50 states." That line describes delivery capability, not state-by-state licensure — we are licensed in Virginia under our DCJS Private Investigator registration and we deliver remote information services nationally under that single license.

03 Services Not Provided

To keep client expectations accurate and our compliance posture clean, 3SA explicitly does not hold itself out as any of the following. If you need these services, we will gladly refer you to a properly credentialed provider:

• Attorney or legal-counsel services. 3SA is not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice, legal representation, attorney–client privileged analysis, or any form of practice of law. Deliverables are investigative and informational in nature.
• Licensure in any state other than Virginia. We are not licensed as a private investigator in any U.S. state other than Virginia. We do not advertise, represent, or imply licensure in any other jurisdiction.
• Law-enforcement powers. 3SA is a private firm. We do not have law-enforcement authority, cannot make arrests, cannot execute warrants, and cannot compel records from government agencies.
• In-person surveillance requiring state-specific licensure. Our service model deliberately avoids physical surveillance. We rely on open-source intelligence and lawful remote research rather than fieldwork that would require additional state-by-state licensure.
• Service of process (process serving). 3SA does not personally serve court papers, subpoenas, summons, or notices. Service of process is a separately regulated activity in many states; we can refer clients to licensed process servers where a matter requires personal service.

04 How to Verify a License

Clients, opposing counsel, and members of the public can independently verify the active status, expiration, and any disciplinary history of our Virginia DCJS Private Investigator registration directly with the issuing regulator — we do not gate verification behind our own systems.

• Confirm that the license status reads "Active," that the registrant entity matches "3SA Silver Stiletto Security Agency LLC," and that no disciplinary actions are listed.

05 Service-Area Disclosure

The footer of every page on this site carries the line: "Information services available in all 50 states." That line is consistent with our Virginia DCJS licensure and our remote-first delivery model:

• All work is performed remotely from Virginia, using open-source intelligence and lawful third-party commercial databases.
• We do not perform physical surveillance or in-state fieldwork outside Virginia.
• We do not claim licensure in any state other than Virginia.
• Where a client's matter requires action in another state (court filings, process service, on-site interviews, or investigations requiring local surveillance licensure), we coordinate with appropriately licensed local counsel or local investigators under a referral-and-supervisory framework.
